So many great vacation spots are out there – how to choose? For the adventurous types, make the decision easier by steering away from beach-bum vacation spots and towards spots with some real excitement. We’ve helped you narrow it down to our top 3 places where adventures happen!

New Zealand

This isn’t just a beautiful country; it is an adventurer’s dream. Though it’s small in size, it’s known for its majestic mountains and activities like trekking, climbing, white water rafting, skiing, snowboarding, heli-skiing, snowmobiling and ice climbing. And on the coast, the water-lovers will find surfing, waterskiing, sea kayaking, and sailing. New Zealand is also considered to be one of the best diving destinations in the world, with spots like The Poor Knights, Bay of Islands, Fiordland, and Stewart Island.

Australia

We couldn’t forget Australia! The varied terrain in this country makes it an adventurer’s paradise. From scuba diving off the Great Barrier Reef to white water rafting to jetskiing and everything in between, there is nothing you can’t do in the Australian waters. And if you choose to stay dry, you won’t be bored with outback biking, hiking, spelunking, and climbing at Ayers Rock and the Blue Mountain.

Brazil

Brazil is the perfect place to lose yourself in the beauty of the rainforest. You can’t miss a jungle tour of the Amazon, whether you hire a guide, venture the jungle by foot, or take a boat or canoe to the Rio Negro. In the southern mountains, you’ll find repelling, rafting, hiking, climbing, horseback riding, hang glidin, and mountain biking to God’s Finger, Bell’s Rock, or to Iguassu Falls. They also have water sports such as surfing and diving but the most popular ones there are kayaking, sailing, fishing, snorkeling, windsurfing, kite surfing, and jetskiing.

Have you noticed that the least expensive time to travel seems to also be the least convenient? This is no accident on behalf of the airlines. But it’s still possible to save on travel by planning your schedule well – you just have to know when to go!

Europe

With so many countries to visit and so many things going on, it’s hard to find the right time to go to Europe. Since there are things going on year round, the right time to travel may be based on your interest and preferences. Generally speaking, the ideal times to travel to Europe is May, June, and September when prices are reasonable, the crowd’s smaller, and the weather is just perfect. But if you’re looking for certain festivals to attend to, then plan accordingly.

Caribbean

The Caribbean is one of the most popular places to escape to get away from the winter blues. But you’ll have a hard time relaxing with the high season’s huge crowds. The low seasons are June, July, and August, due to the increase in the temperature. June may be rainy but the weather in July and August is generally sunny and nice. You can expect a dramatic decrease in price during these times and get the quiet vacation you want.

Costa Rica

The best time to travel to Costa Rica is actually during its rainy season. Due to the rain, which only occurs just a few hours daily, May through November is the country’s lowest season meaning low airfares, better hotel choices, and less of a crowd to compete with. It is also the country’s most scenic season with their thriving rainforest and blooming orchids.

For any destination you’re planning on visiting, you should always check for their high and low seasons. With the right timing, you can enjoy the perfect vacation!

Uh oh…did your friends just set up a crazy looking registry with Deposit a Gift? This isn’t quite what you expected. Where’s the china, the blender, the guest towels? Not to worry! We can explain this new-fandangled approach to registering — it’s actually quite simple and modeled upon the shopping experience that you’re used to at the department store. Only this is a new kind of registry – for weddings, babies, birthdays, fundraisers, group gifts and more – so your friends can ask for the gifts they really want instead of being limited to a particular store, and you can be sure that your gift will never be returned. It’s all about flexibility and fun, for you and them :)

Why shouldn’t I just pick out my own gift?

Physical gifts may be returned, forgotten or re-gifted, but with Deposit a Gift, you can be sure that your gift is exactly what they want, and will never be returned. The memory of you helping to bring to life something they’ve been dreaming about will last a lifetime.

Ok, so how do I do it?

Start by finding your friend’s site here. Take a look around the site and read the Welcome Page and Registry Page to learn why they’ve chosen to go the route of an alternative site. Learn what it is that will truly help them to celebrate this occasion. Poke around the Registry and decide which gift strikes the right chord with you, and add it to your shopping cart – just as you would with traditional 0nline shopping.

How can I pay?

Easy! If you have a credit card, you can give a gift! Just fill out your info at check out and you’re good to go. No need to setup an account or provide any unnecessary info. If you’d rather talk with a live person, give us a call at 646-504-7124 and we’ll help you with your order. We can always make ourselves available to customers.

But what do I bring to the wedding/shower/party?

No need to show up empty handed. During checkout, you’ll have the chance to print out a gift certificate. You can even put an electronic delay on your gift, so the surprise won’t be spoiled until after you’ve given your gift. Learn all about the steps here.

Is it safe?

Absolutely! Security is our top priority. We don’t store your personal info or keep any credit card data, so if you purchase gifts on more than one occasion, you will need to re-enter your personal information. We think those extra few moments are well worth it for your peace of mind. Read more about our safety features here.

Now what?

Nothing! You’re all done. No need to worry about shipping, gift wrap, or packaging. Just purchase your gift, print your gift certificate, and you’re set. For more on giving gifts, gifting etiquette, and our security features, take a look at our FAQs.
