Deposit a Gift registries get used quite a bit for shower gifts. Since gift-givers often want to bring the gift to the party, they typically want to control how the recipient is notified of the gift — no one wants to ruin a great surprise! Luckily we’ve thought of everything to make giving an in-person gift really simple, in just 3 steps:
STEP 1 — Shop: Shop from the registry as you normally would . Below is an example gift list. Decide what you want to spend and continue adding to cart until you hit that amount.
STEP 2 — Choose your delivery date: During the checkout process, after you provide your billing information, you will arrive on Step 2, the ‘Gift Details’ page. On this page you write your gift message and choose when you would like your gift delivered. To bring the gift to the party and not ruin the surprise, select the radio button for the 2nd option: “Select My Own Delivery Date.”
IMPORTANT: In the calendar that automatically appears, choose the day after the party.
STEP 3 — Print the gift certificate: Once you have placed your order you will land on the confirmation page. Here you have find a link to the gift certificate that you can print. You will also receive a confirmation email that includes the link, so you can print at any time that is convenient for you.
Voila! You’re done
