When we started thinking about wedding planning, we weren't sure what to do about gifts. Being in our thirties and having lived on our own for many years, we had pretty much everything we needed. We knew people would most likely want to give us gifts to help celebrate the occasion, but we were at a loss as to how to let people give us gifts without winding up with duplicates of things we already had. Then we met Dana at Deposit a Gift. She had a personal phone call with me to discuss what we were looking for and then helped us set up the website. She was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond what she had to do to assist us with getting our website up and running. Deposit a Gift was a great find and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a non-traditional gift registry in any context, wedding or otherwise.
I chose Deposit a Gift because the interface layout is clean (not cluttered with ads) and easy to browse through, not to mention fun. The whole site is the best designed out of all the ones I researched (I looked at several other sites, but did not like the other interfaces or some of the terms). It was not only easy to set up my own personalized site, but also easy for everyone visiting to site to move through the different tabs. I really loved all the design options to choose from and the ability to post pictures and videos. The terms and conditions are simple and to the point, which was also very attractive. All in all, this site has everything I was looking for!
My (now) husband and I were thrilled with our DAG experience. We loved the idea of registering for our honeymoon (to Chile!) and found the DAG site easy to use, fun, and supportive. When it got down to the wire for our wedding day, Dana was so helpful. She suggested ways for us to work with our registry and when I shared that was I was mildly freaking out and didn't have time to add to some items I had wanted to add to our registry, she kindly offered to help shape our trip to Chile with a range of priced items so that guests could have more to choose from. I'm very grateful to her for her help and support throughout the process. It's very clear she's passionate about her site and idea - as she should be.
Guests found the site fun and informative and we used this site, along with one other site, to cross-list wedding information for our guests. Given that my husband and I are in our mid to late thirties, we thought the concept of this site was excellent for gift-giving for our wedding. We already have all of our necessary items for the home and the DAG site is a great way for people to give a gift that is meaningful for everyone involved. We can't wait to send thank you pictures from our travels to Chile to those who gifted to us on the site.
