Thank you for visiting our wedding registry. You know that after nearly 11 1/2 years together, and decades more in just life itself, we really need nothing from traditional registry sites. Having downsized our living space twice, we're always in the process of disposing rather than acquiring (and in John's mind, not fast enough!) Seiously, we ask for nothing...our wedding is all about celebrating our life together, along with the amazing changes that our country is undergoing. But everyone keeps asking, "Where are you registered!?" So it's here, and we've provided a number of options...both fun things for us and needed donations for two important charities. Really, we don't need toasters, blenders or china.
You also know that we never miss an opportunity to travel...we've been so many places together and so many others that need to be seen. This year is no exception. We've selected a 7-day cruise out of Seattle to Alaska for our "honeymoon", beginning July 31. And looks like next year will be no different.
We thought you might enjoy giving a non-traditional wedding gift, and the options identified on the Registry seemed like an ideal way to do it. These trips have and will continue to give memories and friends that last a lifetime...there's nothing more exciting than traveling and seeing new places together and knowing that you helped make it possible!
Also, there are so many worthwhile charities and causes that need support. To that end, we've selected two, if you're so inclined: Cyndi Lauper's True Colors fund and, of course, Poverello Food Bank, which we've supported heavily in the past. Links to those two appear at the bottom of the Registry.
Thank you so much for your love and compassion...whatever you choose to do, most important to us is that we see you on this big day in our lives.
